Fire Season in Northern California
July 9th, 2008You have no doubt heard about the recent fire storms in Northern California where our offices are. This picture was taken today outside at 4pm. Although the nearest fire is 20 miles away, our skies have been filled with smoke for weeks. While I was taking this picture a burned leaf fell on the ground in front of me. Since there are no deciduous trees here (only pine trees) I found it amazing that this leaf traveled 20 miles.
