Fire Season in Northern California
July 9th, 2008You have no doubt heard about the recent fire storms in Northern California where our offices are. This picture was taken today outside at 4pm. Although the nearest fire is 20 miles away, our skies have been filled with smoke for weeks. While I was taking this picture a burned leaf fell on the ground in front of me. Since there are no deciduous trees here (only pine trees) I found it amazing that this leaf traveled 20 miles.

Verisign Problems
June 4th, 2008We had some problems with Verisign overnight while they were renewing our SSL Certificate. As of now, they have fixed the problem and our servers are back online.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and if Verisign after hours support was located in the US we wouldn't have experienced any downtime at all.

New Product! USPS Label Printer Module
April 2nd, 2008
Generate and print USPS labels for your Qbaroo orders. This new add-on module allows you to quickly generate USPS labels, complete with tracking numbers and bar codes for Priority, Express and First Class shipments that are mailed within the United States.
To use this new module, you must be a QBaroo customer and have the Adobe Acrobat Reader software and an inkjet or laser printer capable of printing at a minimum of 200 dpi in black and white.
Once purchased, the new module will be installed in your QBaroo store and you will see a Label Print option in Order Edit that will launch this print program.
Click here to purchase this module.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Does this new shipping feature allow for Parcel Post and First Class Mail?
A: Yes, Parcel Post and First Class mail are supported.
Q: How is payment made? Billing or paid with CC at the time.
A: The module only allows you to generate USPS tracking numbers and print out labels for your shipments, it does not actually handle the postage (you still need to add postage to the package with either stamps or a postage meter).
Q: How does this work? Most of the time the shipping amount is different from the actual amount. Will the label say what the cart amount says?
A: The labels do not contain pre-paid postage. When you click on the link to generate the USPS label, it will ask you what the actual package weight is (and the label will be printed with that amount). It will also ask you:
1. Service type (Priority,Express, First Class etc.)
2. Zip code of post office that you are sending from (if it is different than your store zip code).
3. If a signature is required for delivery.
4. Holiday/Weekend delivery
5. Wether or not you want a packing receipt printed as well as the label.
